17th Century Oak Monks Bench

Antique Georgian Oak Country Monks Bench Seat. Stunning solid oak Georgian country Monks bench, dating from the 17th century. Carved floral details along the top, down the sides of the back panels and also on the top of the armrests (please note that some of this detailing is worn, as a result of the age of the piece). Lift up flap seat revealing open storage space, iron stay and lock. Beautiful paneling along the front of the bottom of the bench and also the backrest. Good solid order throughout the piece.
